I joined Great Oak Wealth Management as an intern in 2017. I’m excited to now be part of Jim’s warm and welcoming team as an associate planner.

The best way to describe myself is from a small yet powerful poem by Henry David Thoreau, “If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”

Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, I joined the United States Marine Corps right out of high school. Two days later coming back from Germany for a triathlon I got on a plane to boot camp at Parris Island, SC. Though difficult at times and doing two deployments, I made many great friends that will never be forgotten. I also grew as a person, maturing, and learning what determination and drive can help you achieve.

After leaving the military I moved to Pennsylvania and applied my military skills into a position in the logistics industry. I also began attending Penn State University. Originally focusing on accounting, I found myself drawn more to understanding the bigger financial picture and decided to change my major to finance. Being able to focus on the whole picture of finance instead of one particular area will make me a more perceptive financial advisor.

Genealogy has always fascinated me and I find it interesting that I’ve landed back in Pennsylvania. My ancestors came to Scranton, PA from Poland back in the early 1900’s. Their story and how they started as coal miners but evolved and assimilated much like other immigrants of the time is a story we can all learn from. As the world evolves just as much as myself, I see that financial planning is constantly changing and continuing on to help others to improve their situation is what brought me to Great Oak Wealth Management.

My journey thus far has been far from typical, yet the invaluable experiences and challenges I’ve overcome have provided life lessons that can be applied to financial planning. I look forward to the future as I gain experience and knowledge through my education, and reach my goal of attaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and helping others achieve what they thought was impossible.

I live in North Coventry Township with my wife Christina, when I’m not working I’m running, traveling, hiking, and gardening. I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors, primarily the Spring through Fall, because I grew up in snow country and quite honestly have had enough fun with that!
